To disguise it, she wears her favourite pink wig. But when she wore it to school, a teacher told her to remove it.

She was told it might encourage other pupils at Oakmeeds Community College, in Burgess Hill, West Sussex, to dye their hair.

Her mother Phoebe was furious.

She told her local paper, The Argus , that the family could not afford human hair wigs and were donated the bright pink one by friends of the family.

Canadian Police Arrest Gun Owner With Alleged Ties To Pakistani Terrorists

The man allegedly amassed a “small arsenal” of guns, the Globe and Mail reported .

A 30-year-old man arrested in Ontario was charged with being a "danger to the security of Canada", according to the Globe and Mail.

Software developer Muhammad Aqeeq Ansari, reportedly born in the Pakistani city of Karachi, was arrested Monday.



His lawyer, Anser Farooq, told the newspaper that federal officials allege Mr. Ansari has ties to terrorists in Pakistan, amassed a "small arsenal of guns" and expressed extreme opinions on Twitter.

The paper reports that Mr. Ansari may face deportation under the country's Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.

Court records obtained by the newspaper show that Mr. Ansari surrendered 10 firearms to authorities last year, including several rifles and handguns, as part of a reported plea bargain to attain a conditional discharge of charges of illegally storing lawfully acquired firearms.

The arrest follows two attacks in Ontario and Quebec last week, which left two Canadian soldiers dead.

The Globe and Mail notes that the Twitter account @aqeeqansari has not been updated since the day of Mr. Ansari's arrest.

The account includes one post that appears to suggest police framed the man who ran down two officers in Montreal, killing one.

The account also contains derogatory comments about recent Nobel Peace Price-winner Malala Yousafzai.

Thomas Menino, Boston's Longest-Serving Mayor, Dies At 71

The beloved Boston mayor had been fighting an aggressive and rare form of cancer since January.

Thomas Menino, 71, died Thursday after battling cancer for months, Boston's WCVB reports. Menino was diagnosed with an advanced cancer shortly after retiring from office in January. The cancer had spread to his liver.

Menino is Boston's longest-serving Mayor, being elected in 1994 after serving the city for almost a decade as a city councilor. He's credited with revitalizing Boston's urban infrastructure. According to polls, more than half of Boston had actually met Menino in person.

Menino began chemotherapy in early March. He then suspended cancer treatments last week. A spokesperson at the time said that he was "resting comfortably."

On Wednesday afternoon, the head of the Boston Archdiocese, Cardinal Sean O'Malley, visited with Menino at Brigam And Women's Hospital in Boston, where Menino had been in hospice care.

According to a spokesperson, Menino passed Thursday morning surrounded by his wife, Angela, his family, and his friends. The family is currently making arrangements for services that will be announced soon.

A House Made Entirely From Wax Is Slowly Melting In Central London

You see, this house is made entirely from wax and has been slowing melting since it was built last month.
