A group of immigrants from West Africa sparked Ebola fears on the Spanish island of Gran Canaria after their boat landed on a nudist beach on Wednesday.

Some of the people on the boat are said to have been from Sierra Leone and Guinea, the centres of the recent Ebola outbreak.

Police and the Red Cross isolated the group of 17 men and two women on Maspalomas beach on Wednesday morning after a couple of them were discovered to be suffering from a fever, Channel 4 News reported.
