MSNBC appeared to be the first news outlet to get inside, reporting that law enforcement granted them access. CNN entered soon after, but said the landlord let them in.

FBI officials tell BuzzFeed News their search was over before media entered.

The landlord of the apartment complex, Doyle Miller, 81, appearing to show reporters around as they filmed.

Doyle told BuzzFeed News that law enforcement told him it was fine to allow people in. When asked why he let people in, he said, "that's the question," and said media pushed their way through.

"I opened the door, looked out and all of a sudden they rushed in," he said. When asked if the reports said anything before they approached, he said, "no." When asked if he was fine with letting people in, he said, "I guess I am."

Cable networks' live coverage shows reporters milling about each room of the couple's home, pouring through personal documents, showing ID cards on camera, and taking photos of their personal belongings.
