Tony Miranda, a loader operator at Cal-Waste Recovery Systems in the town of Galt, said the kitten apparently survived a ride in a dump truck on Tuesday before a tractor pushed the him onto a conveyer belt.

Then, somehow, the kitten was spotted on the packed conveyer belt. "He almost didn't make it," Miranda told KCRA-TV.
