Six people were injured when a shooter opened fire in southwest Houston Monday morning, near a strip mall. The extend of the victims' injuries is unknown.
Houston police confirmed they shot the shooter, but it remains unclear whether the shooter is alive or dead. Police said there are no reports of other suspects.
"We received a call at 6:29 that we had a shooting at the Petco store ... the first unites were directed to the parking lot where the shooting was still active," Jay Evans, of the Houston Fire Department said, according to ABC13.
Houston police posted on Twitter that the suspect's vehicle was found and that the agency's bomb squad will check it.
Police are expected to host a news conference later this morning.
