The children were reported missing Sept. 3 by their mother, who contacted police after she couldn't get in touch with her ex-husband. The children, who are all between the ages of one and eight, were discovered about 5 p.m. ET, WLTX 19 reported.
Investigators now suspect the ex-husband, also the children's father, of killing the kids, Wilcox County, Alabama, District Attorney Michael Jackson told the AP. Police did not release the father's name, but WLTX 19 identified him as Timothy Ray Jones, Jr.
Jones is in custody, after being arrested on Saturday in Raleigh, Mississippi, on unrelated charges, WLTX 19 reported. According to the AP, he will be charged in South Carolina.
