Wooden Roller Coaster Catches Fire At Six Flags Magic Mountain

Colossus at the California theme park caught fire around 1:45 p.m., the Los Angeles County Fire Department said. The roller coaster has been closed since August.


Colossus, the 125-foot-tall wooden roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain, caught fire Monday afternoon.



The roller coaster has been closed since August as the Valenica, California theme park revamps it with a new, twisted steel track.


Twisted Colossus was scheduled to open next year.
