A group of young people got into a fireworks battle in Chicago on Tuesday night, firing dozens of roman candles at each other. A bystander captured the incident on video and uploaded it to YouTube, where it has garnered nearly 500,000 views.
The showdown took place on the city's West Side, near the intersection of Western Avenue and Adams Street, photographer Lenny Gilmore told BuzzFeed News. He witnessed the scene and also captured it with his camera.

"I talked to some people at the scene and they said that they were two rival gangs," Gilmore, who works as the photo editor for RedEye, told BuzzFeed News. "But it seems like it was mostly for fun."
