New details of Josh Duggar's molestation scandal emerged Wednesday, shedding light on much his parents, Jim Bob and Michelle, knew and for how long they allegedly waited to tell authorities.
According to a police report obtained by In Touch, the oldest son of TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting told his father on three separate occasions to sexually molesting his sisters. But the Duggars waited at least 16 months before contacting authorities or getting their son or daughters professional counseling, according to the reports.
In the newly-obtained report, Duggar, now 27, told his father of at least seven acts of sexual molestation against his sisters, starting from when he was 15 years old.
“James said that in March of 2002 [Josh] who had just turned 14, came to him very upset and crying,” according to the report. “James said that [Josh] had told him that he had been sneaking into [his sisters’] room at night and had been touching [his sisters] on the breasts and vaginal areas while they were sleeping.”
The report went on to say that he molested several of his sisters, who were all "sleeping in a common room at this time."
When police began investigating Duggar, the statue of limitations had expired.
