Guam is the first U.S. territory to allow same-sex marriage.
Same-sex couples in Guam were allowed to apply for same-sex marriage licenses early Tuesday.
Guam became the first U.S. territory to allow same-sex marriage after a federal judge last week struck down a law defining marriage as between a man and a woman.
The judge was considering a case filed by Kathleen Aguero and Loretta Pangelinan in April after they were denied a marriage license by the Department of Public Health and Social Services.
The two women were the first to file for their marriage licenses Tuesday morning local time, the Guam Pacific Daily News reported. They planned to get married immediately by a territory official, the Associated Press reported.
Other couples also lined up Tuesday morning at the Office of Vital Statistics, where marriage licenses are distributed.
