A ’90s kid’s dream come true.
Jake and Dave just went on the most excellent adventure to fulfill their childhood dreams. They rode the Jurassic Park ride at Universal Studios Hollywood for 12 hours straight to celebrate the release of Jurassic World.
Jake and David told BuzzFeed News: "We both have had such an infatuation with the Universal Studios theme park and the film franchise itself that we thought, 'What could we do in honor of the new film?!' We wanted to do something unique in celebration, but also something that hasn't been done before."
After a little bit of brainstorming, "it kind of just came to us and we thought, 'Wait, how many times could we ride "The Jurassic Park River Adventure" ride in one day?'" the guys said. "It was then that we knew what we could do in honor of the new film: ride Jurassic Park all day and set a record!"
After talking to the Guinness World Record crew, and the ride operators, the guys set out to break the "Jurassic Record" bright and early at 9:15 a.m. local time.
But, how could they stay on the ride without having to get back in line?
The guys told BuzzFeed News: "Not only did the Jurassic Crew get back to us immediately, but they made our whole experience so pleasant and smooth. We were given a secret password before we showed up to the park and this allowed us to skip the line all day."
Nicely done.
After doing the math, Jake and Dave knew they needed to get through the ride 50 times. The guys were able to get through 10 rides in under two hours, but that was only the beginning.
Even though the guys knew the ride backwards and forwards, they began to notice little unique facts about the ride.
Jack and Dave explained, "The spark coming from the fence where the raptors are encaged is now turned off. We were told this was a fire hazard and unfortunately had to be removed within the last few years."
