The Ohio Bureau of Investigation on Friday dispatched more than a dozen agents to a small village in rural Pike County where local police reported multiple fatalities, a spokesperson for the Ohio Attorney General confirmed to BuzzFeed News.
The authorities could not confirm the number of fatalities or the manner of their death, but the AP reported that the deaths were the result of shootings and WKRC reported that seven people had been shot.
There have been no arrests, but the spokesperson for the attorney general said the office was "unaware of any active situation."
