Prince's autopsy was completed Friday, authorities announced, one day after the music icon was found dead at his home in Minnesota.
The Midwest Medical Examiner's Office said in a statement that the autopsy on Prince was completed at 1 p.m. local time.
The legendary musician was pronounced dead at 10:07 a.m. Thursday after he was found unresponsive in an elevator. Carver County Sheriff's Office deputies attempted CPR but were unable to revive him.
Results of the autopsy are still pending and could take days, or even weeks, to be released, the medical examiner said.
