Charlie Sheen will make "a revealing personal announcement" Tuesday morning on Today, according to NBC News.

NBC News made no mention of what Sheen would be announcing during his in-studio interview with host Matt Lauer.

A representative for the actor did not immediately respond to BuzzFeed News' request for comment.

Sheen, who was fired from CBS' Two and a Half Men in 2011 after a very public spat with Warner Bros. over his erratic behavior, has made no secret in the past of embracing his love of sex, drugs, and alcohol.

He also barreled through several high-profile divorces, including one from Denise Richards.

A movie star in the 1980s and '90s, Sheen went on to become most known for his television roles.

At his peak, he became the highest paid TV actor, earning a reported $1.8 million per episode on the top-rated Two and a Half Men.
