Puerto Rico's Governor Blames The Army For Not Quickly Rebuilding The Power Grid

Puerto Rican Gov. Ricardo Rosselló told BuzzFeed News on Thursday "we want equal treatment as US citizens" when it comes to hurricane recovery efforts.

Rosselló's comments came during an interview with AM to DM. He said the Army Corps of Engineers efforts were lacking when it came to restoring electricity to people.

"They have said and stipulated that we were going to get this up quickly and be there immediately and it's 35 days after signing the contract and still their brigades are not in Puerto Rico," he said.

Rosselló also disputed BuzzFeed News's account of funeral and crematorium directors saying people who died as a result of the hurricane aren't being counted in the official death toll because they are not getting guidance from the government.
