A mom in Oklahoma is outraged after she says her 4-year-old's teacher stopped him from writing with his left hand and then sent home a brochure stating leftys have historically been considered "evil."

But one day, she says she noticed he had switched to writing with his right hand after attending Oakes Elementary in Okemah. She asked him why, and said his answer shocked her.
"I just asked ‘Is there anything his teachers ever asked about his hands?’ And he raises this one and says 'this one’s bad,'" she told KFOR.
The furious mom said she asked her son's teacher, who was not named, about what happened.
She said the teacher responded by sending a brochure that included a section that states being left-handed has been considered "unlucky, auspicious, or frankly evil." It added that being left-handed has also been associated with being "sinister."
"For example, the devil is often portrayed as left-handed," the brochure states.
The brochure, titled "When Will I Know Which Hand She Will Use," goes on to explain when children establish hand dominance.
“It breaks my heart for him because someone actually believes that, believes my child is evil because he’s left-handed, it’s crazy,” Sands told KFOR.
