As with his stops in Washington, D.C. and New York City earlier this week, Pope Francis's visit to Philadelphia is expected to draw thousands.

On the first day of his two-day tour, the pope is expected to lead mass at the Cathedral Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul; visit Philadelphia's historic Independence Mall; and attend the Festival of Families, a celebration of intercultural families from around the world.

Philadelphia Archbishop Charles Chaput reportedly asked Pope Francis to address religious freedom during his address at Independence Mall, CNN reported. The pop obliged, but said that he would also speak on the topic of immigration, as he has during his two other U.S. stops.

Here is the pope's schedule while in Philadelphia:

10:30 a.m. Mass at Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Philadelphia
4:45 p.m. Visit to Independence Mall
7:30 p.m. Visit to the Festival of Families, Benjamin Franklin Parkway
