At Least 6 People Killed As Flash Flood Sweeps Away Cars In Utah

At least six people are dead after two cars were swept away during a flash flood caused by heavy rains near the Utah and Arizona border.

At least six people were killed when two cars were swept away by a flash flood caused by heavy rains on the Utah and Arizona border, officials said Monday night.

The victims range in age from adults to young children and were residents of Hildale, Utah, and Colorado City, Arizona, Hildale Assistant Fire Chief Kevin Barlow said.

Local rescue teams were still searching Monday night for seven others believed to be missing in the flash flood. Barlow said at total of 16 people occupied the two vehicles.
