Could this be the end for Cumming Street and Fanny Hands Lane too?
Conwy council in north Wales is putting a stop to rude place names.
The crackdown comes after people complained about Hoare Road and Typple Lane, saying that such places are unsuitable for families.
Councillor Philip Evans told the South Wales Evening Post : "Some names can cause offence or can be misinterpreted so it's better to try to avoid them." He added: "We had a road named Old Abattoir Lane and residents were a bit upset about it and asked for it to be changed."
Maybe the residents of Hoare Road are right to care. Need a Property recently worked out that a rude street name reduces a house's price by £84,000 on average.
For example, residents of Minge Lane in Worcestershire can expect to sell their house for 31% less than people living in a more boring street round the corner. Residents of Cock Lane in Farringdon don't have to worry as much, however; their naughty street name only loses them 6.3%.

So, what does this tell us about the difference in property prices in Worcestershire and Farringdon? Or even the difference in attitudes towards "cocks" and "minges"?
