Girl Walks For Days After Surviving Plane Crash In Remote Forest

The 16-year-old girl was found as crews continued to search for a small plane that did not arrive at its destination in northern Washington state.

A 16-year-old girl apparently walked through the woods in Washington state for two days in search of help after surviving a plane crash, KOMO News reported.

Autumn Veatch was flying with her grandparents from western Montana to Lynden, Washington, on Saturday, but the plane never arrived after what was supposed to be a three-hour flight. Having lost contact with the plane, search crews were formed on Sunday.

Her grandparents were identified as Leland Bowman, 62, and Sharon Bowman, 63, of Marion, Montana, King 5 reported. They and the plane remained missing as of Monday afternoon.
