The man’s body has not been found.
A man is believed to have died in Wyoming on Tuesday after falling into hot spring at Yellowstone National Park.

According to a statement from park officials, the man in his early 20s, who has not been formally identified, was walking some 225 yards off the boardwalk when he fell into the boiling waters of the Norris Geyser Basin.

"At this time, rangers are treating this incident as a probable fatality because the victim has not been located," park officials said, adding that staff were using "extreme caution as they respond given the hazards of the thermal area."

Last month, three Canadians and a New Zealander were charged with violating Yellowstone rules after they filmed themselves walking off the trail at the Grand Prismatic Spring for their YouTube channel.
