Restaurant Turns Burglary Footage Into A Mouth-Watering Taco Ad

A Frijoles & Frescas Grilled Tacos restaurant in Las Vegas, Nevada, was burglarized Dec. 16, and cameras caught nearly every second of it.

But instead of just leaving the search for the suspect up to police, this taco joint made a hilarious (and mouth-watering) commercial.

It's 3:32 a.m., but the restaurant's closed. So one guy throws a rock at the door to get in.

"Sorry, bro."

Apparently, "poor guy just wants a taco." So they drive around to another door and break in, setting off a frantic search not for money, but tacos.

The two guys eventually run out of the restaurant into a car (driven by their "mom") that pulls up outside. One guy then runs back into the restaurant and yanks the register off the counter.

Greg Carlson, general manager for the two restaurant locations and producer of the video, told BuzzFeed News that he just wanted to turn a bad event into something entertaining.

"I like to take mundane events of life and turn then into something funny," said Carlson, who also runs his own personal YouTube channel under Mr. Arturo Trejo. "When I saw this footage of something bad that had happened to us, I just kind of did what I do with my personal videos and did something that was more likely to be viewed and shared."

Carlson said he's not aware of the video turning up any leads yet, but he's seen an uptick in business from both old and new customers who saw the ad.

Who can blame them? These tacos do look delicious.

Frijoles & Frescas Grilled Tacos is still looking for help in finding the burglars in order to "get them the tacos they rightfully deserve."
