“Hands up, don’t shoot.”
In an eerie illustration that resembles an oil painting, a number of figures illuminated by headlights from a military tank raise their hands above their heads in tribute to Michael Brown.
In their covers released on Thursday, Time Magazine and Businessweek both made reference to the now-iconic phrase used by protesters, "Hands up, don't shoot." The Time cover shows a man kneeling in front of what appears to be a tank, while the Businessweek cover shows a child raising her hands.
