U.S. Ebola Patients Set To Be Released From Hospital

Atlanta hospital is discussing discharging the pair, one of whom will be released today.


Dr. Kent Brantly, one of two Americans who contracted the Ebola virus in west Africa, is set to be released from hospital in Atlanta on Thursday, the Associated Press has reported.

Samaritan's Purse spokeswoman Alison Geist told AP that Dr. Brantly (pictured above with wife Amber in an undated file photo) will be released Thursday, but was unsure of the exact time.

The pair contracted the Ebola virus while working in a missionary clinic outside the Liberian capital, Monrovia.


They were flown out of the west African nation earlier this month, and have been receiving an experimental treatment in isolation.
