The former captive of the Taliban, who was released nearly a month ago into U.S. custody, was moved Sunday to an outpatient treatment facility in Texas.

Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, 28, is being moved from inpatient care at Brooke Army Medical Center to an outpatient treatment in the next step of the reintegration process at the Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, the Army said Sunday.

Bergdahl was held captive by the Taliban for five years and was released into U.S. custody on may 31 in exchange for five top prisoners held at Guantanamo Bay.
He was moved from Afghanistan to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany on June 1.
