The Heartbreaking Video Of Detained Al Jazeera Journalists After They Were Sentenced

One reporter was able to capture the chilling moment and post a short clip on Instagram.


On June 23, Al Jazeera journalists Peter Greste, Mohammed Fahmy, and Baher Mohamed were sentenced to seven years in a maximum security Egyptian.

Louisa Loveluck — a reporter for the Christian Science Monitor — was present at the Cairo sentencing and posted a video of the Al Jazeera journalists' reactions.

Fahmy can be heard shouting, "They will pay for this, I promise they will pay for this," after police dragged him from the cage in the courtroom.



A man can also be seen trying to block Loveluck's camera from recording.
