More than 5,000 flights scheduled for Monday and Tuesday have been cancelled due to the huge Northeast blizzard – and that number is only expected to rise.

Almost 2,500 flights have been cancelled on Monday and over 3,000 on Tuesday, according to FlightAware.com.
