The FBI arrested multiple people in Minneapolis and San Diego on Sunday who were part of an ISIS-inspired plot, according to officials.
The FBI arrested at least six people in what officials are calling an ISIS-inspired terror plot, CNN reported.
Federal officials told CNN the arrests happened in Minneapolis and San Diego and were part of a joint terrorism task force investigation. The Associated Press reported the arrests were made in connection with youth who have traveled or tried to travel to Syria.
The FBI said there was no direct threat to the public and the plot was controlled by investigators.
A news conference with more details about the arrests is expected on Monday in Minnesota.
