The St. Louis Post-Dispatch took home an award for Breaking News Photography, and the New York Times won the prize for International Reporting.
Today marks the 99th year of the Pulitzer Prize. The prestigious award is named after famed Hungarian journalist Joseph Pulitzer, credited as being the first to champion journalism training in academic institutions.
