The #FindAMissingPerson hashtag was created to bring awareness to the thousands of people who go missing in the U.S. each year. We challenge you, the internet at large, to help find these 55 missing people.

The FBI's National Crime Information Center contained 84,136 active missing person records, as of December 31, 2013. Of those, people under the age of 18 accounted for 33,849 (40%) records.
BuzzFeed News reached out to law enforcement officials about each missing persons case and all new available information provided is included in the profiles below.
