Canadian Man Who Took Bison Calf Said "What He Did Was Wrong"

A tourist said he put the animal in his car at Yellowstone because he thought it was cold, but later realized his actions were wrong. The calf later had to be euthanized.

A Canadian man who picked up a bison calf at Yellowstone National Park and put it in his SUV because he thought it looked cold said he assumed "it would have been roadkill" if he did not intervene. The calf later had to be euthanized by park officials.

Shamash Kassam of Quebec was fined $110 for disturbing wildlife, according to the Casper Star Tribune. He will have to appear in court June 2 at the Yellowstone Justice Center.
