Police arrested Christian Jose Gomez after an unidentified woman was found dead outside his Oldsmar, Florida house on New Year’s Eve.

Christian Jose Gomez, 23, was arrested and charged with murder Thursday after a woman was found dead outside his house in Oldsmar, Florida, WFLA reported.
Police said the woman was decapitated when they found her. Gomez was taken into custody a few blocks from his home.
According to the police report, detectives responded to a homicide call at the residence at around 7:30 p.m. local time on New Year's Eve. When they arrived they pronounced the victim dead at the scene from blunt force trauma. The victim's identity will not be released while the investigation is ongoing, police said.
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is expected to provide an update on the investigation Thursday afternoon.
