News 12 The Bronx presenter Matt Pieper was caught on air criticising people on benefits in a conversation with a colleague on Wednesday.
The presenter was apparently unaware he was still on air during the discussion with reporter Amy Yensi about a segment on school crossing guards, New York Daily News reported.

The exchange continued, with Yensi joking: “I think I qualify for government assistance.”
To which, Pieper replied, “Just check that box, girl," prompting Yensi to exclaim: “hashtag EBT", a reference to Electronic Benefit Transfer cards.
