Bowe Berdgahl, the U.S. soldier who spent five years in captivity in Afghanistan, is now facing charges of desertion and misbehavior before the enemy, according to multiple reports.
Bergdahl's lawyer, Eugene Fidell, told the Washington Post that the 28-year-old was handed a charge sheet on Tuesday.
Army officials are expected to provide an update on Bergdahl's case in a press conference at the Fort Bragg, North Carolina, at 3:30 p.m. ET.
